The simplest way is to get a battery bank with a 12 volt DC output. I've done this with a Talentcell 12\/9\/5V Lithium ion Battery Pack, 122Wh Rechargeable. This has operated the unit up to 5 hours. I don't recommend smaller battery packs. I set it up to stick to the side of the incubator with a velcro pad.
